The Rebel (Resume Film)

If you’re interested in my video work and only have time to watch one thing, watch The Rebel. This five-minute sci-fi short film will give you an idea of what I can do in terms of video. I wrote, directed, produced, edited, shot, did sound, and created visual effects for this award-winning short.

Corporate Video Work

As the marketing manager for the B2B software company Smart Service, I have created countless product demo, testimonial, and tutorial videos. In each of these, I wrote, directed, produced, shot, edited, did sound, and created visual effects for everything. Smart Service Website

The marketing website for Smart Service drives millions of dollars in sales annually, and I drive the website. I wrote all of the words, took all of the pictures, and made all the videos. I also planned all the content and directed a web designer to complete the more technical facets of the site.

Of course, building a website is only half the battle. I set the editorial calendar for the site’s blog, commissioning and curating multiple new articles every week. I also constantly A/B test the site’s content, optimizing it for lead-generation.

 

Marketing Emails

In my role at Smart Service, I have created or collaborated on the creation of hundreds of marketing emails. Every day, our automated system sends thousands of emails out to our various mailing lists. I plan and write all of the content, take all of the pictures, create the designs, and often create the emails themselves.

Print and PDF Material

Most of my work at Smart Service involves digital marketing, but every once in a while we create some print materials (which our sales reps also use as email attachments). Social Media Ads

From time to time, Smart Service has advertised on social media, primarily Facebook and Instagram. I personally created our animations for all such ads, including the one here, which garnered leads at a rate of just $16/lead, unheard of in our industry.

 

Photography

While not a photographer by trade, when duty calls I can hold my own. I took all of the photos in the assembled gallery, most of them for Smart Service, some for my personal creative projects, and others just for fun.

 

Content Marketing

At Smart Service, we’ve made major SEO strides over the years thanks to our content marketing efforts. Sometimes this includes pieces like the attached infographics, but more often it simply means adding content to the Smart Service blog. Generally, I serve as the editor for this publication, but occasionally I get my hands dirty and personally write articles, including each of the following:
